Lootcritter here: I’m preparing two reviews for the Klingon and Romulan entries to the Kelvin ship set, and Timberwolf is back with his take on the two Federation cruisers.   As always Timberwolf is a great source of information and new contributor over at The Pilot Review Show.  If you’re looking for advice I recommend you check out his YouTube channel. Lootcritter 2,000,000 Dilithium Shirts – ’cause you asked.

Please do NOT REPOST ON REDDIT* After the emails and tweets, I’ve made a version of my Star Trek Las Vegas shirt available through Cafe Press.  The price is a ridiculous $34, but the flipside is that they handle everything – including returns.  I will ‘make’ $4 per shirt, which will go to cover giveaways at a later date.  Assuming we sell even one 😉 … Continue reading Lootcritter 2,000,000 Dilithium Shirts – ’cause you asked.

This has to be a mistake… $50 for a character-bound costume?

Update: The dilithium store’s overpriced costume wear (already 9 times higher than anything else) got a small 15% discount when the changes were pushed live to holodeck this morning. Update 2: Well so much for that – the discount came from our dilithium min discount. Grrr.  Thanks to Ross (@khamseen_air) for pointing that out. [sarcasm] Yeah, NOW I’m going to buy something [/sarcasm]   If vanity items … Continue reading This has to be a mistake… $50 for a character-bound costume?

A Conversation with @LaughingTrendy – Insights on Her Role As Community Manager

Insight into the inner workings at Star Trek Online and by extension Cryptic isn’t something we don’t get to know about on a daily basis. Beyond the great podcasts with the executive producers and development team members we see (and listen) to prior to a release, the role of community manager is a bit of an assumption by many. I had the chance to get to … Continue reading A Conversation with @LaughingTrendy – Insights on Her Role As Community Manager

Guest Blogger Sir Boulevard: Agents of Yesterday Review

Lootcritter here:  SirBoulevard is back with his take on the third expansion in Star Trek Online: Agents of Yesterday.  Not to worry – his series on the state of the game is very much alive in this post. SirBoulevard is a prolific foundry author, co-leader of the E.W.O.C. fleet, he’s a guy who thinks he can build a canon build and DPS at the same time. We … Continue reading Guest Blogger Sir Boulevard: Agents of Yesterday Review

Guest Blogger Timberwolf: 26th Century Star Ships Review

Lootcritter here: Expansion Three may appear to be short on content, but with 12 new Zen ships, 3 lockbox ships and now a T6 Marauder, plus an entirely new set Temporal powers, reputation, and specialization – this has been a hell of a week.  One might say this expansion has altered the meta in-game substantially. Timberwolf is back with his take on the 26th-century ships that … Continue reading Guest Blogger Timberwolf: 26th Century Star Ships Review

Why some people didn’t get the Latinum-plated T6 Grand Nagus Marauder. Unsubscribe is deadly.

Timberwolf’s Interview With Borticus – Torpedos, Plasma Consoles & other special Snowflakes

Timberwolf pulled off a major coup with tough questions and insights from Star Trek Online’s own Borticus on a number of topics including the new Temporal abilities, why torpedos work they way they do and what’s being looked at, and a wide-ranging discussion on consoles and other abilities. If you’re a fan of kinetic builds – this interview is a must-watch. Eye-opening to say the least. … Continue reading Timberwolf’s Interview With Borticus – Torpedos, Plasma Consoles & other special Snowflakes

Awesome Geek Moment: Stop Motion Enterprise II: Beginning of the End

Every once in a while, you stumble across fan production that exceeds your expectations, and sometimes the go above and beyond anything you can imagine.  Now imagine that it comes in the form of a stop-motion production. It’s fitting that this production which took eight years to complete would come out during the recent launch of Agents of Yesterday.  Without blowing the plotline, this exceedingly … Continue reading Awesome Geek Moment: Stop Motion Enterprise II: Beginning of the End

AOY Admiralty Cards (Including the Vengeance & T’laru)

A tad overwhelmed at the moment – 12 ships pending for review including the Vengeance for Lobi, but not one of the lockbox ships.  While some players did manage to get these, the RNG gods once again gave me the Royal stink eye. Ah well, I was lucky before – but I think I’ll wait for their appearance in the Infinity Lockboxes next year before … Continue reading AOY Admiralty Cards (Including the Vengeance & T’laru)
